Here is a picture of a receipt from 1931 pertaining to Port Loring Garage Owned and Operated by R. W. Brooks many years ago. I know for most it is just a simple receipt. But it is far more than that, take notice of his biggest sellers which is outlined on the page. Everything from boat rentals to selling Hemlock Lumber. Also take note on the phone line on the top of the page. Tells a story itself. Like two long, five short. Stories fill my mind just thinking about it. This here picture is another treasure for sure. It is one that could never be taken again as a forest fire in 1910 took it from us.  Bet there was lots of tales told around the camp fires at night while building it and after the fire also.

Here is another treasure, a picture of  Roy Thompson and The Schroeder Lumber Co. Filing Shack; Around 1915-14.  Notice the size of the building and how they cleared the land behind the shack.  Click Picture To Enlarge.

Here is the front cover and back cover of a Loring Agricultural Society Exhibition booklet, done up in 2012.  On the back cover notice an add relating to H. E. Kelcy letting folks know of things that he has for sale in his store. Interesting really, as it lets one take a glimpse of how things was done many years ago.
