The Colours Of Autumn Here In Port Loring

Well it is that time of year, with nature showing all her colours.  They are just starting to show what they have to offer this year here in Port Loring, but thought I would mention it, as if you are wanting to take it all in, you should be planning your outing.  I would say this year that the Fall leaves will be out in full colour in a week and a half.  Even now a bit of their beauty is being shown off, mixed in with the white birch’s yellow leaves, in amongst the huge old pine and cedar trees dark greens which enhances them to no end.  It never ceases to amaze me just how beautiful Mother Nature can be.   So many folks today just take it for granted, passing her by each day, not knowing she is just begging to be looked at.  I am here she is saying, stop, take some time, this is what life is about. There is nothing so tranquil in my eyes and every one should take a day or so and just find that special spot and, well, take it all in.  Enjoy my folks, soon they will be gone, the leaves that is, only to awaken the splendour of what winter has to offer.

Last winter 2011 a friend and myself went for a walk on snowshoes to visit a beavers pond.  Was quite a walk back in to see it but along the way we spotted this old yellow birch that the beavers were busy working on.  So took a couple pictures for you to see what we seen.

Visiting Nature In Port Loring

Earlier this spring my wife and I went for a walk at a very good friends of ours property; Hartley or Sherrill Moore. Along the way we stopped off at a small creek that runs through their property and my wife took a few pictures. Sitting there listening to the water working its way through the rocks and things sure was a site to behold. Makes one really realise just what being alive is all about. Click Pictures to enlarge.
