My wife and I own the cottage ("Pink Cottages") right across from the Duck Lake dock, so I will be careful, but we are probably going across good ice. I know I need to watch out by Sucker Creek. I talked to Al and Kerry good friends and members of the Local Services Board and both said that Duck Lake, has No slush and on the travelled portions there is probably 14 to 16 inches of ice. Well we do have snow but for the past two or three days now it has been melting some. The trails are open and most of the lakes are frozen over, one just has to take care. Especially where water is moving under the ice. Might get a flurry tonight but not much. Temperatures will stay cool after today but not much snow in the forecast till next weekend. Hard to believe this is almost the middle of Feb. already. We have had a lot of snow this winter, but with the milder temperatures it melts pretty fast.
