News For Port Loring

Black flies are still bugging some folks. I say some, as some folks like myself they leave alone, for most parts anyways. Mosquitoes, now them parasites, they don’t have any consideration for no body. LOL. They go where you are, inside, outside, where ever they can find ya. But there are ways of discouraging them, which I have told you in previous posts. Today my wife and I are putting in our veggie garden as tomorrow we might get a shower or two, which will set them into place nicely. So lots to do today as I have a large garden. Health tip for today. Drink lots of water, good water, not tap water with fluoride or chlorine in it. Them two chemicals are poison. Most city waters have it in it, and some bottled water, so be wary. Now here is what every one should know to find out how many ounces you should drink a day. Take your weight and divide it by two and that will tell you how much to drink. Say 150 pounds, you need to drink 75 ounces. Sounds like a lot, but it isn’t really. If you do this every day you will not only become healthy you will have more energy. Also your body will love you for it. If your in the sun you will need a bit more. Remember folks, good water. Good morning. Today will be pleasant and warmer 80°f. Tonight it will go down for a Lo 58°f. Really nice weather for sure. The barometer is holding steady at 29.26 in Hg. Winds are from the South and calm. The moon will rise at 4:47 AM and set at

For those just itchin to get out there fishing this is the weekend to do so and the best time to be out there will be from 1:03 PM – 3:03 PM.

Other News. Black flies are out there in full force but not as bad as last year. So far anyways. Them blood sucking parasites the Mosquitoes are just starting and will be enjoying a few meals on us humans very shortly,increasing their activities as the weather warms up. Which is today by the way. For those on the highways today please take care as we here in Port Loring would like to see you all arrive safe and sound. Have a great weekend my friends and feel free to drop around at our small store, we have it chocked full of Native American Flutes along with all kinds of other items. We are located right on HWY 522 just up from the Shell Station on the right, coming in from Highway 11, can’t miss it, just look for the large sign with two flags flying from it that says George & Ruth Walters, Author, Artist. Good morning. Well today we will see partial sunshine with highs reaching 64°f. Tonight it will drop to a Lo 49°f. Not to bad and things are warming up some. Tomorrow will be even better. Barometer today is holding steady at 29.32 in Hg. Winds are from the South East coming in at around 3 MPH. The moon will rise at 4:17 AM and set at 6:51 PM. Moon phase today is 5% Waning Crescent. The sun awoke behind a few clouds at 5:43 AM and will set at 8:48 PM. The old weather stick says the best time to be out there fishing will be from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Then again from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM.

News For Port Loring

Black flies are still with us of course. Mosquitoes are about to start as soon as the warm weather is upon us, starting tomorrow. Around town business’s are gearing up for the coming season and in all sincerity it looks like it is going to be a great year. So we can only hope. Also our new playground equipment has been installed and anyone wanting to use them is welcome to do so. Al Dare kindly donated a couple picnic tables for the center, so now the parents will have a place to sit or have a picnic, while the young ones enjoy themselves. Thanks Al. I took the picture before they had the gravel installed around the base, but that has been completed and looks great. I will take another next time I am down that way.

So how’s everyone doing this morning? Today it will be mostly sunny and warmer 60°f. Tonight it will go down for a Lo 43°f. Not to bad. Good day for some outside work. Barometer is rising and has been all night and at the moment sitting at 29.28 in Hg. Winds are from the west at around 3 MPH. The moon will rise at 3:51 AM and set at 5:50 PM. Moon Phase today is 10% Waning Crescent.. The sun rose this morning at 5:44 AM and will set at 8:47 PM, giving us here in Port Loring 15 hrs. 03 mins. of daylight. The old weather stick says the best time to be out there fishing today will be from, 10:54 AM – 12:50 PM. Then again from 4:50 PM – 5:50 PM.

News For Port Loring.

Nothing much to report. Mowing day here for us at the Walters house, so will get that out of the way this morning. Sure looks pretty when all said and done. This year wife and I planted all the seeds we collected from last year and we got a regular little nursery going in the back porch, so all our veggies will be free this year. Once I get to planting them that is. Which should be first of next week. Long range forecast looks good temperature wise. Well tea time here, always start my day with a talka tea with my lovely wife, then we just let the day happen. What comes upon us through out the day…is what is suppose to happen. Good morning. Well today is a bit cooler and we might have a brief shower., Temperatures will reach a high of 57°f today and then tonight drop to a Lo 38°f. It will start to warm back up come tomorrow morning and be nice for the weekend. The moon will rise at 3:27 AM and then set at 4:49 PM. Moon Phase today is 16%
Waning Crescent. The sun woke this morning at 5:45 AM and will set at 8:45 PM, giving us here in Port Loring; 15 hrs. 00 mins. of daylight. For the folks wanting to go fishing the old weather stick says the best times to be out there will be from 10:04 AM – 12:04 PM an then again from 4:50 PM – 5:50 PM. Good looking day for fishing.

Black flies are with us and will be until Fathers Day. if you take the proper precautisons you will be just fine. Weather will start to warm up tomorrow and looks like a great weekend to get that veggie garden planted. That is my plan for this weekend.
